‘Change-I Am’ is a new Respectful Relationship program delivered by Centacare Country SA in partnership with Davenport Tji Tji Wiru Youth Centre. This program is funded by Department of Families, Communities and Indigenous Affairs. The program aims to prevent violence against Aboriginal women in the Davenport Community by taking local female children and youth on a journey of self discovery, community participation and community education. Participants will gain the fundamental knowledge and skills, and the desire to build and sustain respectful relationships throughout their lives. Participants will also deliver respectful relationship education to peers in remote communities where whole-of- population approaches to violence against women are unlikely to create meaningful change.
